Story
Slinky the Dog was exploring Pixar World when he unintentionally stumbled into the Monsters, Inc. factory. He entered the factory without thinking because he was fascinated by it. Many doors were there as he walked through the factory; some of them were destroyed.
There were no people or monsters inside, so he continued exploring the factory. To his surprise, he saw doors with red lights and slowly walked toward those doors. He entered through one of the open doors out of curiosity, but he only exits through the door next to where he entered. As soon as he exited the door, he noticed the blue door and was astonished and surprised to see Andy's room there. Slinky the Dog noticed the "Don't scare Andy" note next to Andy's door and became even more perplexed since who could possibly scare Andy?
The doors and the factory's purpose are mysteries to Slinky the Dog. As he began to stare at Andy's door, something in his heart began to stir. His eyes began to well with tears as he thought of Andy...
The only thing he could think of at that time was how much he missed Andy, his old owner.
Behind-the-Scenes of Illustrating the Background Design and Character:
At first, I merely intended to have a plain background that was identical to the original Monsters, Inc. background. But I worried that using the background's original design would be boring.
And that's how I came up with a new interpretation of the design, which featured an old, abandoned factory concept or style. Since there are so many details to illustrate, creating the background design for Monsters, Inc. was difficult. But I also discovered that I was having fun making this project as I was creating the background. But at some point, I was worried that I might not meet my expectations. However, with my determination, I was able to pass my limits and was able to satisfy my expectations in illustrating this project :)
